Detailed method to grind the glass edge

There are 3 to 9 different processes to grind the glass edge.
1. Firstly use the metallic bond Diamond cup wheel to grind the edge, successively use rough, medium and thin diamond, 325 is very thin. It is general properties after grind, it is normal to have a breakage edge.

2. Then use the resin bonded Diamond cup wheel to grind the edge to sand surface without breakage edge. Normally, it can be used at this stage.

3. Sometimes, if you want the edge to be polished as a mirror, this requires the polishing wheel instead of using diamond. you can use low hardness polishing materials such as iron oxide and cerium oxide.

In the second step, if water mill the edge at 3000, it will be almost transparent.

If there is a special glass edge grinder, which has all the needed wheels(five wheels, nine wheels, and so on). The glass pushed in from one side,passed all the wheels one by one, and was polished as a mirror when it came out from the other side of the machine.

If there is no special machine, use 60 metallic bond Diamondcup wheel togrind the shape, then use 150~325 resin binders Diamond cup wheel to remove large scratches. It's almost can

be used. If you want a shiny smooth edge, use the polishwheel.
